DECEMBER 24th
We can travel many miles,
But the greatest journey is within,
To find the spark of creation,
And with life happily swing;
It waits to be discovered,
Pain was my key,
It made me turn to prayer and meditation,
And with God live peacefully.
“How else but through a broken heart, may God enter in.” OLD SAYING.
Whenever I see a holy picture,
Or religious statue,
I pray that all who see it,
Are happy in all they do;
Whenever I see a church,
Or religious place,
I pray that God's grace,
Brings a smile to every attenders face.
“For one who frequently honours and respects elders, four things increase, age, beauty, bliss and strength.” SIVANANDA.
I like to look into a fire,
To see it sparkle and flame,
It is constantly changing,
It is never ever the same;
The sight nourishes the spirit,
The fire gives us heat,
Like God's love,
It warms from head to feet.
"Everything in the world, has a bright side." SIVANANDA.
I now love to meditate,
To connect with God our mate,
The Universal Power,
Whom I did often berate;
But now I love meditation,
I aim to do some each day,
It helps my understanding of God grow,
In a very beautiful wonderful way.
"The world is like a mirror. If you smile, it smiles, if you frown, it frowns back." SIVANANDA.
