Be like a bird in the air,
Having not a care,
Going through life,
Praying for all there;
May I be like a bird,
Flying carefree,
Thanking lovely God,
For all that I see.

Dear lovely God,
May I always be calm,
Realising Your beauty,
May I be held in Your palm;
May I hand it on,
To all that I see,
Realising that everyone I meet,
Is actually part of me.

To love God is a basic desire,
Which before I would have denied,
For I wanted nothing to do with God,
From this instinct I would hide;
For I thought I could do life on my own,
From this many problems did ensue,
But when I surrendered and saw the full beauty of God,
I realised this basic desire was true.
