SEPTEMBER 10th
The wonderful river Shannon,
That flows through Athlone,
When people think about it,
They often dream of 'home';
Of lovely Ireland,
That place of lakes and streams,
God bless all who read this,
And may they all have happy dreams.
“If you realised how powerful your thoughts are, you will never think a negative thought.” PEACE PILGRIM.
It's hidden within you,
From it your never apart,
It's your God given glow,
There in the realms of your heart;
Always pure, always bright,
With you by day and by night,
Always wanting to help,
It's great to meditate on this inner light.
“Music is spiritual.” VAN MORRISON.
The soul has no boundary,
It can shine anywhere,
Giving out love,
Taking away care;
It needs to be nourished,
By doing daily spiritual things,
Nourish it with love,
So that God's beauty it sings.
"Who does not thank for little, will not thank for much." ESTONIAN PROVERB
We enter the world as babies,
As teenagers we often feel we are supreme,
We all have our aspirations,
We all have many a dream;
We build our little 'castles,'
But one day we will all have to leave,
It's only by asking our Maker for help,
That we don't have to shout or grieve.
"Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul." SWAMI BUA. (1889-2010)
