SEPTEMBER 12th
I look at a fly,
In awe and wonder,
It’s gossamer wings,
Taking it to places yonder:
Six little legs,
Constantly keeping them clean,
Whenever I see one I pray,
That it does happily dream.

The ego never seems to tire,
Always full of desire,
Always wanting more,
Things by the score;
It can cause lots of pain,
New things it wants to gain,
I ask for God's help daily,,
To keep it on a rein.

God gives free-will,
I'm free to take my own road,
But if I don't act responsibly,
I'll have a heavy load;
I must aim for purity and discipline,
Do spiritual actions each day,
All to connect with God,
Asking for His guidance on my way.

I am grateful for my body,
Every atom in it I pray is well,
I thank God for them all,
That's what these words do tell;
I ask God may I use them,
To always help another,
Thanking lovely God for all His gifts,
As they help me realise that everyone is my brother.
