‘Silence is the altar of the spirit,’
A maxim you'll find,
Which if followed,
Brings peace to the mind;
You might want to talk,
But silence is good for you,
It allows the mind to be still,
And God come into view.

Live to serve humanity,
In your every deed,
Realise it's always essential,
There's always a need;
Do it constantly,
Through every action and thought,,
Thanking God always,
Just as you should and ought..
Leading a simple life, provides more happiness, less strife.
God is the light of the Universe,
He brought me into being,
May I always lead a spiritual life,
So that His love I am feeling;
May I go forward daily,
Always with a smile,
Realising His love is with me,
As I travel every mile.

A spiritual life is so important,
In fact it should be our main aim,
I thought material success was essential,
But searching for it only brought pain;
Well that's my story,
But also the story of the ages,
Told to us over generations,
By many prophets, monks and sages.
