DECEMBER 27th
Everyday is the first day,
Of the rest of your life,
May you travel it with God,
To have happiness not strife;
May you treat him as a companion,
Your very best friend,
Being humble before Him,
Praising Him without end.

Dearest God, let me be a giver,
Rather than look to receive,
It's the way to be happy,
From this truth may I never be deceived;
For it is in giving,
Wanting nothing in return,
That we become happy,
For nothing we yearn.
To sing in a group or choir, will help your spirit grow higher and higher.
I used to find life troublesome,
It used to weigh me down,
I had a sorrowful expression,
And usually wore a frown;
But then one day,
To God I had to cry,
And into my heart,
His love did fly.

Dearest God may my pride,
Go away and hide,
And with other defects of character,
Flow with the tide;
For they are part of my ego,
Which blocks me from Thee,
May they all go,
So I can experience Your glee.
