Happy Healing Poetry

Daily words of hope & inspiration

A little hope for today

December 30

DECEMBER 30th

We enter the world with nothing,

We leave the very same,

We often try to build Empires,

Isn’t that slightly insane;

We have to live our lives,

But our main purpose is to find God,

Nothing else is so satisfying,

I now know everything else is slightly odd.

“Dear God, let me be a pen in your hand.”  THERESA of CALCCUTTA.

God, I used to criticise,

I wasn't very wise,

Now Him I praise,

And my spirit does raise;

Why did I change,

Pain was certainly the key,

I had tried everything else,

Then one day I said 'God please help me.'

“Oh deluded man! Kill not animals, but kill the animal in you-the ego.” SIVANANDA.

God, may I arrange my life,

So that to You I remain close,

Realising that my body is but a container,

In which You are the host;

Sure the world will attract me,

It's lights can be very bright,

But I know You are supreme,

Please may I love You will all my might.

"When I am completely united to You, there will be no more sorrow or trials; entirely full of You, my life will be complete."               St. AGUSTINE.

The tongue can be a double-edged sword,

It can criticise or praise,

It's best to use it to help others,

And their spirits raise;

To keep it under control,

By nourishing it with prayer,

Will keep your spirit happy,

And will remove your every care.

"Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence." ARISTOTLE.
