DECEMBER 31st
You need to control mind and body,
Not have them control you,
They can pull you on different courses,
Like a team of wild horses;
Learning to meditate,
Brings it under some control,
Then with prayer to lovely God,
We help realise our soul.

We come to the end of the year,
It has gone very fast,
Many things have changed,
But God's love does always last;
I pray that all words written,
Help people to God connect,
And on His love and beauty,
Constantly reflect.
Pray that your every action, produces a positive reaction.
God, only Thee,
Can fill the world with glee,
For You are everything,
All I hear and see;
For You are my heartbeat,
You are my soul,
Loving You constantly,
Is my goal.

Lustful thoughts,
I did endure,
Now I pray my thoughts are pure,
For they give a wonderful cure;
For pure thoughts stop my mind wandering,
I am able to think of God more,
God the source of all beauty,
Who makes my spirit soar.
